I will sit with you within
the candle light,
and let the silence live with
the flame as we
remember and feel the chill
of a warmth just gone
and a loss that has
stripped us bare till we
are naked and long for home.
And in this dimness with just
the sound of the Icey breeze
we can find a space, sacred,
to breath in the memories of
One who bound us together,
made us whole,
perfection in the connection
of us in time.
But now time is still,
the arrow is pointing down,
held in the candle light,
caught in the tyranny of now,
as we stop and ponder
what we had,
and where shall we go.
