Dissolved

I am dissolved into you,
porous, spacious,
molecule to molecule,
chemistry to chemistry,
merging and merged,
sensing the fullness
of all that you are.

This is fate, they say.
The coming together.
This defying of chance:
places, times, decisions,
accidents, meetings.

But all I know is that you
are the sigh in my voice
and the unexpected light
in a dull day, luminous.

So, I am dissolved:
the one into two and
the two into one,
the sum that adds up
to more than two.
