It is a joyous sensation

to stand with

fist raised high

in affirmation:

in the positive

and life-constructing messages

that you send to yourself

and to others

that make this perplexing life

worth the living

and its challenges

worth the surmounting.

 

May these messages

of affirmation

be the strong and resolute glue

that holds together lives

and brings strength

where there is frailty

and anticipation

where there is doom.

 

Build the positive,

create the joy,

be the force

for good,

not the cause
