Seeing

is only seeing

through coloured and opaque

eyes,

eyes filtered by

culture, experience,

history,

gender,

race,

orientation.

 

Seeing is seeing

as through a

template,

pre-set and fixed,

so that seeing

is held

one way,

so the head cannot

turn to another.

 

Seeing seems beyond

awareness,

for we accept it

as seeing,

and not

of a particular kind.
