I hear your testimony of the day,

the flash, the blinding that swept

first silent, then in a maddening

rush that took it all, the skin and

all, this place and all, light and

heat dissolved the world and it

could not come back again: took

the life and the spirit in the cloud

that came from heaven and dropped

it all—crumbled hope into a new hell.
