This is the place
where I stand,
not alone but with
others who grasp
this conviction too.

I stand in this place
that is a citadel
and I stand here
high up and down low
as my resolution never to fall.

I stand and never back away
from the place where I
choose to be in this life:
the place of no harm, only grace,
the place of dignity, not abuse.
