I lie in the still of the day

listening to chill music

that holds me in the

here and the now

with just my thoughts

as companions

and nowhere to go

and nothing to be

except me here in

the quiet morning

of a lazy day,

with the singing of birds

and the strumming

of soulful music

as the soundtrack

to my peace.
