Where has the music gone that

spoke about the world,

and cornered us with its

truth and helped us sift the lies?

 

Where has the power gone that shook

the airwaves with the conviction that

this world needed to move and

there was another way to groove?

 

Have we sold our soul to the devil?

Have we all become blind?

Is it all about the money and fame,

while most struggle to make a living?

 

Where has the music gone that

rifted the heart and lifted the soul

above this ordinariness to what

we might or could become?
