This ancient land

breathes a history that

we too breathe if we

care to stop and take it

in and recognise we were

late to come and that

those who were here

before our heavy hands

stretched across its beauty

breathed deeply and

felt this breath throughout

their lives and beyond.

 

So let us breathe together

and let the silence of this breathing

be our reconciliation and

the start of being with this

ancient and sacred place.
