The bird flies high
in the late morning sky,
above the opal green,
in the vibrant blue,
caught in the sun’s gaze,
and moving without effort,
with elegant ease
on the breeze the swirls
around the canopy, as the
bird sways and lifts up
above the human world
without care, falling down
and gliding on this summer day.
