We are much more

than all the bits

and parts that

make us up.

 

We are this

spiritual clump

of cells and organs

that lives in

the mystery

of knowing itself.

 

We dream beyond

the limits of

this mortal coil,

and wish for

heaven and the stars

to satisfy our desire

to know who we are

and where we should go.

 

We are more than

just the living

and the dying,

for we want this

ethereal thing

called love

that takes us

beyond this body

to another

place in time.
