Give me the words

to speak

the still and gentle

calm of peace

over the storm whipped

waters of hate

and confusion.

 

Give me the vision

to see a world,

a place to live,

where differences

are not solved

with a gun

and a threat

but with the

simple act

of sitting down

together,

speaking words,

and creating

understanding in

the symphony

of mutual exchange.
