Being on the land,

of the land, dependent

as a child, sustained,

caring for it whole,

and more than this,

existing sacred as

one who came from earth

and to it, from this dependent form,

shall return in an ancient cycle

from new to old, and from birth

to death’s taking of what

is the land’s rebirth.
