I shall live in this cave of mine
and venture out as I need to do
to survive and pay my way, but
at this, my age of reckoning, to
build more than surfaces is too
much when all I want in peace
and a time for reflection on the
state of the world and on this
life that once strove for passion
as a young eager man but now is
content with just existing as I am.
