in the history of the universe,

will one like I (like you) ever,

ever, ever be seen again.

 

Once and forever, here now and then no more.

 

Out, out brief

candle, that burnt and flickered

and lit the world anew;

out, out, then the smoke rises

and the flame becomes the night.
