In all their colours

I shift this holy ground,

wound around

the side of love,

not the wall of hate,

in debate that respects

the human in all their colours,

in all aspects of their being,

and seeing that face

that says there is no race

or faith or creed or way or feeling

when it comes

to living like you are free,

like you believe in being equal

as a sequel to the division that

made the lives of so many a horror,

a terror that never ended,

till we stood and said, “Enough!”,

till we stood in line with each other,

with each person who looked and

saw the rising of the rainbow coloured day.
