Till the day I die

I know my

life is ebbing,

changing, moving

and growing

nearer to death

with each turn

of the calendar

on each ticking day.

But while I

last on this

living planet that

formed my body

and gave me life,

and to which

I will return

like a traveller

when my body

has had enough,

I want to be

the searcher

and look inside

and gaze outside,

considering all

things

that fall under

my sight.

Till the day

I die,

I am that

inquisitorial journeyer

who will never

be satisfied

and always hunger

to know more,

till at last

my breath ceases

and my body

awaits its final

destination at the

end of curiosity.
