Doubt, you are the great thief

that robs me of life,

for you sneak in unseen and

strip away my dreams

and take away that most

prized possession-confidence!

 

But I do see your work at times

when I slow and listen and see

and hear your voice

inside my head and learn

your dire strategy of

picking away slowly at all

that I claim to be good

and all I have achieved.
