So you think of the world

in sides: composed of us

and them, and none can

reach across the breach to

see the other side of the

wall that stands too tall.

I ask you to look again

and gaze beyond the mortar

of the divide to bring the

human face into sharp relief

by standing atop the wall

and spying down on each

person, and viewing from this

vantage point the stories

that need to be told.
