The delicate word,
‘person’,
must be branded
in every soul,
in every mind,
on every body.
It needs to be
signed on noticeboards,
painted in the air,
and spilt on the pages
of our thoughts.
For in that
small and seemingly
insignificant word
lies the core of
what to means
to respect:
respect the other;
respect the rights,
respect the differences,
respect the feelings,
and the dignity,
and the need
to be free.
