What to believe?

Who to believe in?

What should we trust?

Who can we depend on?

 

In this vacuum

Of belief,

And absence

Of certainty

In a universe of

That seems

Certain but

May well be full

Of doubt,

Where can our

Belief lie?

 

The ever moving

Clock of entropy

Says that nothing

Can ever be

The same from

One moment

To another.

 

So what should

We believe and

Where should we

Place our faith?

 

Perhaps the only

Belief that we

Can have,

And the only

Faith that we

Can really express,

Is in the conviction

That we are here

Now and that

Is the only

Certain ground we

Can ever have.
