Whatever our temporary place

in the frame of this world,

and our standing in the social order

of the wolf pack,

the truth that I live by

is simple and concrete:

we are no more,

not greater than,

or standing above,

anyone who treads

this noble arc of rock;

and we are no less,

not beneath,

or of diminished value,

even compared to

the greatest of those

who call this planet home.

 

Think of what might be,

dream of what could happen,

if this simple truth came true.
