From a place in
the body
and beyond
the body
comes breath.
It flows
with gentleness in;
it flows with release out
as the rhythm and
insistent beauty of life.
Sustaining and
reminding in awareness,
its substance is of the now:
in each captured volume
of air,
in each breath
held delicately
in the moment.
With each breath
life is renewed;
with each breath,
life’s wondrous
and precarious
nature is revealed
in an invisible thread
that travels through
the body.
Breath is of the body,
and in it
is the measure
of life.
