I had a dream.
I have a dream.
And it is gone,
but still it lives.

In this place
with nothing left,
it lingers on and
wags its tail and
let go I will not,
nor give my dream
to monsters who
will consume its flesh.

I had a dream.
I have this dream.
and it’s not dead,
and now it waits.
