Don’t put aside emotion as
if it is in your way and not
part of life’s grand equation.

Take away your contempt for
my strong feelings, for I say that
it is all that matters in the end.

Don’t re-consign all you feel and put
on this armoured shell to protect
you from what is truthful and authentic.

Know that you feel strongly just like me,
and don’t think this is in your way, for feeling
deep and caring much is the way.
