We are not determined,

nor are we free;

and if there is some 

inclination in the universe,

some order that we cannot 

see in front of our faces,

then we are none the wiser,

and we are no better

than an oyster in a shell.

 

For all we know, and all I 

can ever realise, is what there

is living day to day

and turn to turn that is 

sometimes pondered

but is mostly decided in 

the fits of getting by and

surviving the movements

to god knows where.

 

No, we are not determined

for the universe is not as Newton

thought it should be,

and we are not free for that

would mean that we could change

the world and it course,

when really it will be 

as it will be in the eons that

mark its birth and death.
