Art is above the

temporary sway of policy

and the seasons of politics,

for the work of art is universal work

and it is the work from and for history.

 

Art is the knife that slices into

and probes the guts of the human condition;

so, from the ancient Greeks to the work of artists

in the richly diverse fields of exploration today,

the meanings that provoke and inspire us

as mortal beings in this temporal world,

remain the same and find new spaces

in the quests of artists to find

the possible in the now.
