I want to speak positively

and look up confidently

above the clouds,

look up above the storm

and see the sun’s rays ahead.

 

I want to give affirmation

like a morning shower brings

you back to life and refreshes

the zest in your body

and the joy in that flagging soul.

 

I want to give hope

and not smash down the dreams with

the weight of that sledgehammer of words

that wrecks the confidence and dulls

the drive to finds the happiness in life.
