My friend, I cannot know the depth of

loss you feel when this other part of you

that was wedded in your soul is gone.

 

All that was this grand life of two as one

is torn away and now is your tender time

to grieve and wonder at the beauty that you had.

 

Know this, my friend, that in time, once the

sting of loss has softened but not gone, that

the other part of you, this precious partner

that occupied your heart, will be there once

again in the richness of the memories she

bequeathed  to you and all the precious ones

that loved her too and feel her loss like you.
