Perfection is a myth,
a hangover from Adam
and Eve, who were treated
poorly by a vengeful god
who would accept nothing
but perfect obedience.

Perfection is a cruel
category pushed by Plato,
and his world of Forms beyond,
as a way of saying that this
world and our lives are
dismissed against the ideal.

And we today still buy this
shit, when what matters
is not perfection, which is
a corrosive myth that is
never true, but being
content with our lives and
what we have, and seeking
the way of joy for ourselves
and those that we love.
