Joy in tragedy.

Support in abandonment.

Love in the middle of hate.

Courage in fear’s dreadful wake.

Loyalty in the crumbling mess.

Hope in unrelenting loss and grief.

Affirmation in discouragement.

Gentleness in bitter violence.

Beauty in the midst of ugliness.

Strength when the walls have fallen.

Laughter in the face of doom.

 

Any of these are true spirituality.
