I want innocence back!

 

I want to be in Eden with Eve 

before the Fall,

naked, raw, in the Garden

without fear,

without toil,

without the greed

that spoilt it all.

 

I want the wonder that 

comes with smiles ,

in looking at all

there is to see,

of seeing without rust,

of touching without the 

dust of time’s decay.

 

I want the feeling 

back of being without

having to be,

of smelling life

in its fullness without 

recoil, of becoming

the earthly angel,

with no devil’s call.

 

I want innocence back;

I want to be that free.
