Two draped souls

I hang in the

moments of each

day’s charms,

and look for

life I’m living

in absence,

in fullness,

in magic,

and in dread.

For none but I

can live this

life and feel

this body aged

and draped

around my soul.

But in this skin

that touches true

and touches real,

I can reach out

and touch you too,

and then in

absence, fullness,

magic and dread

we can touch

and be for

each other

two draped souls

with bodies ancient,

feeling bold.
