We are all living
in a human zoo,
a human zoo
of me and you.
We are all caught
in a human zoo,
and watched
from far,
and watched
from near,
and watched
in this cage
whose primal thread
is fear.
We are all dying
in a human zoo,
and from life
to death
we look,
through the bars,
from life
to death
we look
to the stars,
from birth
to the grave
we crave
for something new,
something true.
A human zoo
from birth
to death
that holds us
close,
and walls us off,
and there is
nothing beyond
but a cloud
in the sky,
filled with wishes
and dreams,
and quiet
existential screams.
