Our lives are caught on a
screen, bounded by the
real estate in front of us
where we live, and breath
and find our being within
the pixels and the moving
content that moulds our
rectangular view of the world.
See myself upon the screen,
see what others think of me;
see my holiday snaps to share,
see what others choose to bare.
What if our boundary was the sky,
like all those who came before,
looking up and wondering why this
is the way it is and why we are here.
But now I look at a screen and wonder
no more, for all the answers can be found
by gazing at the square that’s always there.
