The Big Bang

All that there is,

And all that we are

Was contained

And held,

Waiting for the actual,

In that spot

Without space

And without time.

And then the universe

Was born

In that infinitesimal moment

From the dark

Into the light:

The primordial womb

Of the stars,

And the galaxies

Expanded into being,

To become the visible

And the invisible,

And spread across the frontiers

Forming from space,

And condensing into

Systems and planets.

All that we are

And ever will be

Came from that moment,

Emerged out of the

Formless void

To grow into

The consciousness

Of humankind,

Who look back

with curiosity to

the Origin of it all.
