I can hear the silence
and it speaks to me;
it speaks to me of peace
in myself and in the world.

And sometimes it shouts
and fills me with conviction
that I have to change and
so must the world.

But I only hear the voice
when I turn off the noise
and wait in the quiet
for wisdom to unfold.
