There is only one true ethics

and that is the ethics of

a person into whose eyes

you look with interest

and compassion, and 

whose chest rises and falls

with the breath of life, 

and whose vital spirit is noticed, 

not avoided through policy,

and whose need is more

than a neat category,

and for whom justice is not some

distant and prescribed thing

dispensed from white buildings.
