Throw me to the wind
my beautiful ones;
throw me far and throw me near,
so that I may find my place
among the winds and the land
from whence I came.
Throw me with tears
and throw me with smiles
for all that I have been
and all that I have given and taken
in this interlude that is life.
Throw me out to nature’s breath
and among its watery grave
that takes me whole and holds me
distilled forever in its arms.
Throw me my lovelies,
throw me hard,
and do not hold back.
