The sea moves
in its deepness,
swaying and flowing,
spraying and lowing,
moving and responding
to forces inside and out.
Deep and shallow are
its ways among the lands
on which it laps and crashes,
and it cares not for the coming
or the going of life
inside its great womb,
which it nurtures and destroys.
The sea works with the sky
to breathe and cry and
bring tears of living
upon the water and the land,
in rain, in storms,
in destruction,
and in calm.
The sea is the great constant
as all things change
and move and renew,
but it remains the restless beast
of living waves, storms and mystery.
