Under our tree

I met you under our tree,
and there we were us,
as two, as one, as three.

You left me there under
our tree in wonder, in loss,
and went your way as one, not us.

I met you again under our tree,
as three, as one, as us, as two,
for you are buried now with the tree,
now one of us, now free.
