I feel the disease of

sameness sweeping

across this land,

killing opinion, debate

and points of view

that used to make us rich

and make us more

in the collective whole.

 

This sinister disease

spreads through social

media especially,

and makes us

zombies of blandness,

never saying what

we really feel or mean,

and resistant to any

real voice or

intelligent concern.

 

Open your eyes

and see its

deafening effects,

or you too will be infected

in this sea of memes,

and stupid tweets

and platitudes that

spread the disease

to our numbed out brains.

 

If you say you disagree

then I’ll know you

are not infected by this plague.
