I see you,
even if others
do not at the margins,
in the spaces of
invisibility, on the paths
that cross and
there is choice.

You are there
and you see me too,
and we share a smile
and we wonder
at each other,
though we have
never met before.

I see you there as
you walk away unnoticed,
except by me,
and I follow with vision
unlocked,
and I wonder
what could be as
you turn and
look back at me.
