Wars are the waves
of civilisation’s terrible toll,
when powerful men
(and I do mean men)
decide that death is worth
fighting for, and life,
that should breathe
sense into the
thoughts of men who
know the finality of
death’s finger pointing,
is ignored in its
tear-filled call to
lower the guns
and not let the
logic of death
have its dreadful
and inevitable way.
