I am here

and this is me,

unique among

the throng of life,

wrenched between birth

and death and thinking of eternity,

collapsing and opening up again to possibility.

 

This is I

under an open sky

walking on ancient bones

that bring me here, now, in this moment,

with these words of praise for the act of living.
