This planet is

indigo,

tie-dyed

on the black sky,

with streaks of green

and brown,

across oceans

and land that are

living and dead,

cyclic and

moving,

as this planet

threads its way

through the

cold light of day.

 

Precarious and endangered

among the interstellar

natives

in a universe

of beauty and destruction,

its thin and fragile

globe of air

is the blue line,

the line of truth

between life

and its extinction.
