Out of Africa,

beyond the ice,

and into the

untamed world ahead

came the new ones:

different but the same,

clever and territorial,

sweeping towards continents,

wandering with the tools

of a new age,

with the weapons of a conquerer.

 

With the gods of an awaking consciousness

the new ones came:

part of the earth

and thinking

beyond terra firma.

Curious.

Ruthless.

Adams and Eves

going forth

and multiplying.

Civilisation emerges.

Humankind.
