The power to influence others

is fearfully potent indeed;

for from it the power

streams out into lives and

buffers the person

under its influence to move

this way or that.

 

It seeps into the empty crevices

of people’s waiting lives to

fill them to the brim

full of good will or ill,

or sometimes even worse.

 

What a privilege it is

to be able to influence others;

but it is also a responsibility

that can flow with darkness

or with the blessing of light.
