Dark within the dark,

blacker than black,

and light cannot fall on

what it hides, so I will

gird myself and dive

into its inky oblivion

to look for my soul as

the blackness broods

over the face of the earth

ready for destruction

and a new stygian creation,

but I will emerge into

the light and call this

an horizon day and bring

again the glorious rays

of the sun to take this time

of darker than dark away.
