The cold wet of yesterday has surrendered
to the gentle warmth of still today,
as the striking warm sun not hindered
by the brooding black clouds floods my
dormant garden with late winter brilliance.

Lush and overgrown, the growth flush
from insistent rain has turned my garden
into a field of delicious green with just a
hint of buds waiting formed for the first
mysteries of spring to show its ancient art.
